I established my private practice,
'The Consulting Rooms', in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset,
in 1989. The practice was extended in September
1993 to offer consultations at the Medical
Centre, Pepperall Road, Highbridge. The Medical
Centre has full wheelchair access and both locations
have free, easily accessible parking.
My work with you is to ensure
freedom from whatever has been restricting your
capacity to make the most of yourself and your
life. We work proactively together to help you
find ways to resolve difficulties and balance
a lifestyle that is pleasurable, healthy and sustainable.
I am committed to doing this in the most respectful,
open, honest and professional way I know. This
means that
-
I will be straightforward in my dealings with
you so that you can be confident that you will
receive the kind of treatment best suited to
your individual personality, problems and goals.
|
| |
- I
will only accept clients who I believe I can
help. Where it may be more appropriate for me
to recommend alternatives or refer to a colleague
or associate, no charge will be made for an
initial consultation of less than 30 minutes.
|
| |
- I
will not make unsubstantiated promises. Like
any form of treatment, therapy cannot guarantee
an absolute cure. It involves commitment, co-operation,
motivation - and often hard work by both client
and therapist.
|
| |
- I
give clear information about my fees. If you
have financial difficulties, I am happy to negotiate
a fee that you can afford. As far as possible,
no one will be refused therapy for financial
reasons. (This does not include 'LifeMapper'
and 'A Mind to Ride').
|
| |
- Regardless
of how the work is funded, it is the person
who does the work who is my client.
|
| |
- You
can be certain of the highest degree of confidentiality
unless advised otherwise - for example, you
may be asked for your permission to contact
your doctor or other health care professional. I
will not acknowledge you outside a session unless
acknowledged first.
|
| |
- If
you don't feel free to ask, you're in the wrong
place!
